Enroute to the pier, we were stopped at 17th and Santa Monica Boulevard, waiting for the light, when we heard the crash. You know that horrible sound. The crash? It sounds like a giant whale just snapped its jaws into your skeleton.
Some guy in a hoodie driving westbound drove right into a utility pole.
He got out of the car and seemed fine. Two pedestrians came to his aide.
Thankfully he lived, but I don't think the car pulled through.
