I saw a lot of movies here. I remember waiting in line in the rain to see THE EXORCIST in 1973. The huge line went around the rest of the block, which was all under construction at the time. I remember seeing REDS, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and THE POSTMAN ALWAYS RINGS TWICE at this theatre in 1981 during my first year at UCLA Film School. I'll miss the National, it was a nice theater for epics.
